Judge Terence M. Davis was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott in September 2024 to serve as the second judge of the 480th District Court in Williamson County. He was reappointed by Gov. Abbot in December 2024.
A dedicated legal professional, Judge Davis earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University) and a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he graduated in 2000 with honors.
Admitted to the Texas Bar in 2000, he began his legal career at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP in San Antonio before practicing alongside his father in Leander. He later co-founded the Brown & Davis Law Firm with his cousin, Lawrence Brown, before establishing the Davis Law Firm, P.C., in 2009. Judge Davis is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Committed to community service, he is a board member and elder of Journey Bible Fellowship Church and has served as president and board member of the Block House Municipal Utility District. He is also a founding member of the Williamson County American Inn of Court and co-founder of the Christian Legal Society of Williamson County.
He is an active board member for Bluebonnet Trails Community Services and has been an active member, former president, and former board member of the Williamson County Bar Association.
Judge Davis continues to uphold the values of justice and service in his role on the bench and within his community. He is a God-fearing family man who loves the law and a graduate of the Colson Fellows Program. His faith in Jesus Christ has been instrumental in strengthening his marriage, sharpening his appreciation for family, friends, colleagues, and the value of hard work. Judge Davis has been happily married for 29 years and has 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren.
